149-155 Malmsbury Drive, Meadow Heights

This was a planning application for buildings and works comprising the construction of a two storey building to be used for the purpose of an Education Centre with associated accommodation and on site car parking on behalf of the United Islamic Cultural Centre of Australia.

The main building is a youth education support centre for the Islamic community. The centre provides tuition, youth excursions, camps, sporting activities and boarding rooms. The centre has a library and a theatrette for the cultural and educational advancement of the youth.  The dormitories accommodate a total of 20 students.

The building has been specifically architecturally designed to combine the traditional Islamic architectural influences with modern features, the use of minarettes, Islamic domes, Gothic windows and main feature arched entrance to reflect the values and architectural attributes of the Islamic Community.
